Chapter 1
The First Morning of Trouble
The morning came, the sun shined, and birds were chirping.
"Katie! Come on, breakfast’s ready!" said Mother.
"Coming Mom!", replied Katie.
"Here, take some pancakes."
"Where's the syrup, Mom?"
"We ran out, I’ll go get some after a few minutes. The shop is nearby, so it'll be quick. You go eat.".
"Okay, Mother," said Katie.
Katie finished eating and went to her bedroom. Katie took out her phone and called Tom.
"Tom? Are you there?", asked Katie through the phone. The number was correct, but would he answer?
"Tom?" she asked again. No one responded. "Where could he be?" In a sudden, the doorbell rang, and Katie rushed down the stairs and opened the door.
"Hello Katie. I was looking for you everywhere around town." said Tom.
"You got here really fast, how'd you get here that fast?" The girl responded.
"I just came from the other side," he laughed a bit. Tom came really early, in a sudden. Katie would be wondering why, but she is too focused on having Tom in her house.
"Oh, yes! We're neighbors!" said Katie.
"Come in Tom." said Katie.
Tom came in the room, lay on a couch of hers, and asked Katie a question. When he was going to, he saw a tree. That tree, was not ordinary like every other tree. It had marks on it. Katie had screamed in terror, looking out at it, and ran to Tom in a hurry, hoping that he would calm her down, and fix the problem.
"T O M !" yelled Katie.
"What!?" Replied Tom, knowing that she was scared.
"Wait!" Katie shouted out. "Huh? What's wrong?" "I don't think it's safe out there”, said Katie. "Oh don't be such a scaredy cat. I'm going," Tom said. "Oh gosh," Said Katie. Katie tried to forget about the clawprints on the tree, but she could never unsee it. Katie went to her bedroom and went to bed. "I hope Tom's okay." She pulled the blanket up and slept. The next morning.- Katie got up and brushed her teeth. "Katie, breakfasts ready!" I know Mom…”. “What’s wrong?” said Katie’s Mom. “I am worried about Tom. He hasn’t arrived after he went outside to look out the claw prints." “Tom? He should be fine, eat some pancakes”. Said Mom.
"I can't Mom," Katie said. Tom came back in the house blood all over him. "What happened to you, Tom!?" Katie shouted. Tom fell to the floor, bleeding endlessly. "Mom, we gotta save and help him!" "I will bring Tom to the hospital so he can get treatment.", said Mom. "I'll call my other friends, Bruco and Sam, so we can go and kill the monster! Whatever it was..." "Okay, be careful" "I will!" Many days passed, and Katie and her friends went to find its location. "Hey, Sam" "Yeah?" he responded. "I think it’s this way."."Okay, let's go!" They went to the Jungle.
Chapter 2
Lost in The Woods
"Sam, this looks like a jungle!" "It sure does," Sam replied. They kept walking until they stopped at the monster's location. "Katie! look over here! "Bruco exclaimed." Is that a temple?" Katie asked. "Yeah. It looks like one." They all went inside to gather any supplies they could use to beat the monster.
Katie ran as fast as she could. She took heavy steps, making footprints in the muddy puddles. Sam said that he found some sort of empire. Katie exclaimed that the gates were locked and could not have been opened. Sam went to the back of the walls and found a door.
"Oh, is that so?" She said. "Yes. Looks like a door," Sam responded. The three kids went inside the building and found lots and lots of things. Like one, gold. "Wow, there's so many things to choose from!". Bruco found a wall that had shapes on it, but they were dug out. Sam ran to the next room beside him and found a square. Sam was confused about what this could be used for. "Sam, what are you holding?", she said. "It’s a square and it looks like it fits in somewhere.", said Sam. Sam got up and ran to the kitchen.
Sam took a few apples and munched on them, leaving juice dropping on the floor. Suddenly, a monster showed up, and broke some of the pillars! The empire was collapsing. Everyone ran outside, leaving the building. Everyone was ready and took the weapons that they gathered from the empire. The monster roared at the three kids and was angry. “As long as we are together we can beat the monster with our teamwork.”, said Katie.
Chapter 3
The Furious Battle.
It was time. The monster had rushed through the pillars, making buildings collapsed, and the ground shaking. The monster reached his hand at the children, who had been through this adventure a long time.
Katie, Sam, and Bruco ran on to beat the monster’s head. Katie slashed one eye off and then got thrown to the ground. Bruco cut open the back of the monster and went inside to find its heart. Sam stabbed the sword in his head making the monster feel intense pain.
Bruco found the heart and cut it into many pieces. Everyone dropped back on the ground, in victory. "We did it!" said Katie.
"With the power of teamwork," said Sam.
Everyone went back to their homes, and let themselves have a great future.
